Online Therapy in Texas: CBT and DBT With Katy Psychological Services
You do not have to figure out which kind of therapy you need before you call us. That is what a first session is for.
Most people who reach out to us do not know exactly what they are looking for. They just know something is not working and they are ready to try something different. That is enough.
Online therapy anywhere in Texas
Online therapy is available to anyone in the state of Texas. You can meet with us from home, wherever you live in Texas. If you prefer to come in, we also offer individual therapy for adolescents and adults in person across Katy, Fulshear, Cinco Ranch and greater Houston.
What a first session is like
A first session is a conversation. You share what has been going on, and your therapist asks questions to understand your history and what you hope will change. There is no pressure to have it all figured out. Many people start with a feeling that things are harder than they should be, and that is a good place to begin.
What CBT involves
CBT is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It helps you see the connection between how you think, how you feel and what you do. It is practical, and most people leave sessions with real things to try. It is often used for anxiety, depression, chronic stress and patterns of thinking that keep someone stuck.
What DBT involves
DBT is Dialectical Behavior Therapy. It was built for emotional intensity. If feelings sometimes feel overwhelming, if reactions are hard to control, or if relationships have been a source of real pain, DBT teaches specific skills for managing all of that more effectively.
Which one is right for you?
You do not need to decide ahead of time. Your therapist listens, talks through approaches that may fit, and adjusts as you go. CBT and DBT are two we use often. There are others, and we will find what fits you.
Our team works at both the master's and doctoral level, so there are options for what you are looking for.
Cost and insurance
Individual sessions start at $165. We do not take insurance directly. We provide detailed superbills for out-of-network reimbursement and accept FSA and HSA payments. We would rather you know that before your first call.
New therapy clients are typically seen the same week or the week after.
Take the first step
