About Me
I am dually licensed as a Psychological Associate (LPA) and School Psychologist (LSP). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and my Specialist in School Psychology degree from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. As a Licensed Psychologist, I conducted psychological evaluations for Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Emotional Disabilities for students across grade levels and participated in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development. I also provided counseling and consultation services in schools, conducted functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and developed behavior intervention plans (BIPs). I have worked with students in various educational settings, ranging from those receiving accommodations in general education to those who require specialized instruction in a special education classroom.
After working in public schools as school psychologist for over several years, I obtained my license as a Psychological Associate in order to continue my work with children and families outside of the school setting. I enjoy helping parents understand their child’s strengths and needs and providing them with the information needed to advocate for their child at school and in the community. I am currently working towards the LPA independent status credential by working under the supervision of Licensed Psychologists at KPS.
