We are an out of network provider with all insurance plans, meaning we don't work with any insurance companies directly. We do accept most Health Savings Account (HSA cards). We can provide you a detailed medical receipt for any and all services we provide to submit to your insurance for any reimbursement.
INITIAL SESSION
Also referred to as the diagnostic clinical interview

The purpose of the initial visit is to go over case history, concerns, and to develop a treatment plan and give recommendations on the next step. This can include either therapy, an evaluation, or sometimes both. If an evaluation is recommended, the doctor will give you a price quote and you can determine if you want to proceed with testing. This initial session is also known as the clinical diagnostic interview and it starts the process for an evaluation. Sometimes an evaluation is not needed, and we can make a plan to start therapy services after the initial visit once we know more about what would work best for your situation. You are welcome to call our office to speak to our staff to best determine which psychologist or therapist may be the right fit for your particular needs.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes and can be billable through "out of network" benefits. Ask your insurance carrier how much they will reimburse you for out of network providers. We will give you the medical receipt you need to file.

TESTING
Testing rates are $185 per hour with any of our clinicians. Our licensed psychologists do every part of the testing. The rate includes number of hours needed for testing, report writing, and a one-hour feedback session go over the results with you in person. (Psychological testing can be billable through "out of network" benefits". Please note that educational testing (e.g., learning disabilities) is not billable under any insurance plan. This means that insurance companies deny coverage for dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia in the private practice setting. (Learning issues for some reason are not considered medical reasons by insurance)

Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy rates are $185 per hour. Angie McDonald conducts couples therapy using principles from the Gottman Method. "The goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship". -The Gottman Institute
Note: Psychoeducational evaluations (testing for learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia are not covered benefits under insurance plans. This is because the public school system can provide these types of evaluations. Psychological evaluations (including testing for autism) are usually covered but they may not cover the full amount of the testing cost. Every insurance plan is different so we encourage you to check with your insurance about reimbursement rates.
